Inside the Revelation Celestial Dial: Sun, Orbits and Keyhole
The celestial Revelation dial is arranged as two connected fields. Celestial bodies and orbital paths fill the upper half around a central sun. Below them, scrollwork, a fleur-de-lis and a keyhole turn the same dial from a study of the sky into a composition about truth becoming visible.
The upper half follows recurring cycles
On the celestial Revelation, the orbital paths establish movement before any single body is read in isolation. HANOISON uses those repeating paths to express the cycles through which time gradually brings understanding.
The sun sits at the centre of that field as the source of illumination. Its position gives the surrounding bodies a visual point of reference and makes the upper half feel ordered rather than scattered.
The lower half changes the language
Below the celestial forms, flowing scrollwork carries movement into a denser ornamental field. A fleur-de-lis represents purity, faith and inherited values. The keyhole introduces another idea: a threshold through which concealed truth may be perceived.
How do the two halves speak to each other? The sky establishes cycles and illumination; the lower motif turns illumination into revelation. The design moves from what travels and returns above to what may be discovered below.
The central sun is the selected gold-plated detail
On this model, the central sun is finished in 18K gold plating. That warm focal point is set against the surrounding engraved composition. The finish belongs specifically to the sun; it should not be expanded into a claim that the complete dial or case is solid gold.
We engrave every detail on this dial entirely by hand. Variations in the depth and direction of the cuts allow different parts of the composition to emerge as the light changes.
Revelation is a theme, not a single pattern
The other Revelation dial is led by continuous foliate scrollwork and fleur-de-lis motifs rather than a celestial field. The shared name connects both designs to truth and continuity, but their structures remain distinct.
For a direct comparison, read our guide to the two Revelation dials. The wider HANOISON watch collection shows how celestial, foliate and figurative compositions take different approaches to the same dial-sized space.
